You are so full of it. What is obvious is that Bush is going to lose in November so you, along with your GOP brethren, are trying to delay this election. I am disgusted. You would upturn our democracy to hold onto your power........heralding the 4th Reich! My God I can't believe what I am hearing.

Totally offbase. I have no intention of postponing the election, nor am I worried about Bush losing in November. It is stupid to not have a plan on what to do if there is a large terrorist attack in the midst of our election process. This is a "doomsday" scenario that would hopefully never happen.

We have never had such a plan before.....why now? Why not after Pearl Harbor, the most horrific attack in American history? Why not after the war of 1812? My God, the Brits were threatening to attack DC. Why not during the Civil War when the nation was split in half?

I wonder, say an attack happens on election day, and it somehow keeps a key state from submitting it's electors or there is a problem with them.

Then we would just wait until that state submitted its electoral votes, wouldn't we? Nothing magical about that one.

Imagine that state would have been the difference of Bush losing and Kerry winning. I think you'd be beside yourself about fairness and tampering and wanting a revote etc.

Yes, like FLA and we went nearly month before their results were final. No biggie! Our Constitution has us covered in such an event.

In fact, both sides would. It would be an ideal way to hit us where it hurts. At a minimum it would make the existing rifts wider. This should be obvious to you.

No, what's an ideal way to hit is to make us so paranoid
that one side decides we need a contingency plan for the elections.

Why did we not need one in prior years? The likelihood of it happening is much greater now after their success in messing with the Spanish elections.

There was no need for a delay in the Spanish elections but the Spanish conservatives sure tried.

Just like it is now clear before that Al-queda wants to use planes for missiles, it is now clear that they have an interest in disrupting elections. We need a plan to deal with both, and it's silly not to discuss it ahead of time.

I don't give a flying fukk about al Qa'ida and neither does Bush so why are you so worried.

Your head is in the sand.

Words presented by the loyal opposition.

No, my head is above ground and my eyes wide open........and I smell a scam.
