Anyone can make a theory about anything out of anything. I remember eons ago someone made (and actually sold) a news letter by marrying astronomy to Elliot Wave by theorizing the key to successful model was using non-linear time based on the movement of stars.

My point here is that you could be right or you could be like that trading newsletter guy. But I don't have to understand your theory and science to be convinced. I only need to have a thermometer. It's really that simple.

BTW I did the same thing with that news letter guy. I put his newsletters in "digital vault" and did hypothetical trades based on his recommendations. If an unbiased evaluation showed increase in money (beyond the random portfolio) then his theory had merit and we should buy his newsletter. If it lost money, he'd leave and never come back to any of the Usenet trading channels (ya, it was that long ago). He ended up leaving and I never had to learn about non-linear time due to celestial events.

My position is still the same; any theory is only as valuable as its predictive powers. Belief in (and understanding of) a theory are not necessary for its evaluation.
