Baidu’s Fourth Urban Intelligent Vehicle Base in China Opens in Wuzhen

On December 8th, Baidu Apollo Park in Wuzhen, Zhejiang Provinceofficially opened, making it the fourth urban intelligent vehicle base built by the company in China after others that were built in Beijing, Guangzhou and Shanghai.
The base is integrated with centers involved in various research areas, including autonomous driving and vehicle-road collaboration, remote control operation, operational command, debugging, R&D and testing. The opening of Baidu Apollo Park will improve the industrial chain of the company’s autonomous driving service in Wuzhen.
On the day of the ceremony, the company also gathered a group of ecological partners, including Neolix, IDRIVERPLUS, Hunan Apollo Intelligent Transportation, and Golden Ridger. In addition, the park also opened up test rides on minibuses and unmanned vehicles.
In recent years, with the rising tide of scientific and technological revolutions, digitalization and intelligence have become the focus of Wuzhen. As a pioneering company with strong innovation genes in China, the company began actively embracing the Internet as early as 2014 and has since become an international platform for interconnection between China and the world.
In the future, Baidu Apollo will further help Wuzhen’s intelligent transformation, accelerate the integration of autonomous driving and local productions.
