Mr. RTev, Well... Yes it is. The above statement is still incorrect. The case was that the integration of IE into the operating system, which is considered to be a monopoly, was an attempt by MSFT to put Netscape out of business. By the DOJ, that was an illegal use of a monopoly power to drive Netscape out of business. The judge issued an order to stop MSFT from releasing WIN95 with IE in it. MSFT appealed and the appeals court overruled the judge. At that point the DOJ had to change their focus to abuse of monopoly powers. That is why the contracts with the computer makers and how MSFT deals with other software rivals in the industry has become more important. The DOJ has failed and their own witness has testified that what MSFT has done has not harmed the consumer. This is the weakest part of the DOJ's case but the most important. In fact MSFT Windows has helped the consumer by driving the prices of software down. The DOJ's witness has said that MSFT MIGHT use their power in the future to harm the consumer. Anyways, it's all mute as the judge will rule against MSFT if it gets that far and MSFT can keep the appeals process going for years afterwards. This case turns out to be a no win situation for all concerned, the judge, the DOJ and MSFT. JMHO Thank You JK
