Thanks Betty, I'm looking at several right now. Any good camera seems to be around $600-$700, but I'm finding that if I spend that much, I might as well go a couple hundred higher and get all the bells & whistles. I've found some great prices for the Canon Powershot G1. dppreview has it rated above their benchmark - the Nikon 990.

I'm going to check a few out this weekend, then probably order online. It's $750 at a few places.
