Please correct me if I am wrong, I well could be, however, from what I understand, and moreso, from what I have seen, portfolio managers have to buy the newly listed stock on the day that it is listed as per their prospectus guidelines. Ballard has a very small float, and if I am right (again, I could very well be incorrect) institutional assumption of this stock could provide an artificial inflation of the price short term. Not a big deal for long time holders, but perhaps a buying opportunity for day traders. Again, IMHO.
