Chirodoc, You asked about portable comm device ideas. Research in Motion (Nasdaq:RIMM) has a very nice "smart pager" that is getting a good reception from Fidelity and MSN, among others...using a retooled old Intel chip (386? I can't remember) to get a week or so out of a penlight cell. I've been in RIMM a couple of months. A nice non-cellphone wired stock.
