That would be for direct selling/part ordering, no?

How about direct advertising?

This is going to be the global village.

In theory anyone should have access to a vertical market... one slice out of the worlwide market.

The same way that a sports team can survive in a large city (large fan base) over a small, so too willl any business be better able to find buyers in a worldwide market - aided by electronic brokers, advertising, and buyers seeking the best consumer satisfaction.

Suppose 2 billion people are on the web... what's 1 out of 10,000? That's 200,000 people. Many small businesses could thrive on these kinds of markets.

Economies of scale should kick in and make everything cheaper, everywhere.

Other winners will be the data brokers. The old-fashioned middleman-the storefront - has been taken out but the new middlemen will be the data brokers.

I think there will be a good opporunity for consumer reports-type of services as well, not to mention technical and a myriad of other offerings.

If this can somehow grow unfettered it will be the greatest time in human history.... everyone is a von Guttenberg... but it's still all ultimately filtered.... yet the granularity is so much different than in the past that everyone does get heard by somebody....and everyone can find what they want to hear...

FWIW
