Jim, You are confused with price war from CPU war. There is a big difference to earring and profitability matter to INTC! Intel has lost her technology leadership to Cyrix since the date that Cyrix MediaGX processor was debuted. Intel is at least 2 years behind this Cyrix GX technology. If AMD K6 could outpace Pentium II either under 32-bit OS or 16-bit OS at the same clock speed, it will be another significant technology failure for Intel Corp. The market will lose their respects towards Intel just like Wallstreet and investors will abandon this loser. The coming price war leaded by the new generation CPUs will dig a big hole on ground for Intel earrings. You hear this from RayW here first! Good luck! Read at your own risks!
