It is my opinion the only reason AMD and Cyrx are getting an open window here is that Intel did not build production facilities fast enough to meet demand. This happened back in the old X86 days and as soon as the production capacity at Intel came on line the clone companies were back to delivering chips for "real cheap" box makers. (which is ok)

The management at Intel is tough and will go for the jugular if need be. But for now capacity problems at Intel which are getting fixed as fast as they can will allow these folks to sell more than they normally would. The Production VP at Intel said he was adding 10% capacity to the facilities he already has - must be manufacturing in the hallways.:-)
