The pressure on Parlux stock is being exhibited be the selling of several large institutional buyers who have a high basis in the stock and are dumping it because of its underperformance. Strong Mutual Funds owns 14& of the Company and they are rumored to be reducing their position.
The fact of the matter is the pressure on Parlux stock is not because of any fundamental factors. As an investment banker, companies don't higher investment bankers to do a "review of strategic alternatives" to help them improve profitability or their operations. They do them to come up with a list of strategic and financial buyers and the Company will be shopped and eventually sold at a price well above current levels.
