Hmm, I've been puzzling over the relationship between Ampex's Field Confinement heads and Velocidata's Torodial head, and I see from your post 1918 that Karen at Ampex said they've applied for a patent on FC heads. This means then that both companies have filed for seperate patents for their dissimilarly named, but seemingly(at this point) similarly made new head construction. Wonder how it'll all turn out, as far as revenue sharing,etc if this really can slay the promising, but inherently tricky and expensive MR dragon. These two companies seem so close on this head design, as some have commented. Still wonder about an Ampex and Velocidata marriage. Bramson, are you in a courtin and marryin mood?
