SCO Announces Preliminary First Quarter Results

Novell still owns a large percentage of these folks..... Looks like Novell's investment income for the Quarter will be taking a hit on this portion of the portfolio. I got 2000 shares at just over 5.00 and will by the decline.... I'm still a believer in the Unix segment and the Merced version of SCO.....

Sales in Asia Below Company Expectations

UnixWare 7 Transition Continues - Volume Sales to Begin in Second Quarter

SANTA CRUZ, Calif., Jan. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- SCO (Nasdaq: SCOC - news) today announced preliminary results for the first quarter ended December 31, 1997.

SCO expects revenues of between $47.5 and $50 million, and per share earnings for the first quarter to range from $0.02 to $0.05, which is below current First Call consensus estimates of $0.11.

The Company expects to report first quarter results on January 27, 1998.
