Could be, but neither I nor you can predict the outcome of the policy we are pursuing at this early point. In addition I have to say that doing nothing, which is and was the alternative we pursued, didn't work well as over 3,000 dead American's families can testify.

If we tuck tail and run due to a politically expedient and alluring promise to save lives and money in the short run, the cost will be huge down the road. If you live on a ranch and know there are coyotes in the mountains surrounding you that are eating sheep from your herd on occasion you have choices. Let them kill a few and try to live in harmony, turning the other cheek and whining about your situation to the county council and the clergy who will do absolutely nothing. Stay out every night of the year trying to guess which border of your 10 square mile ranch they will come across. Hunt the bastards relentlessly until you kill them or they lose the desire to fight for your sheep. I prefer the latter but many will find that course too difficult to implement and see through to the end.

That is indeed why we have elections and we will suffer or prosper by the decisions we make at the ballot box.
