Erase the file ShelliconCache in the Windows folder.

Windows puts your icons in this single file for quick access. Sometimes Windows gets them confused. If you erase the file, Windows creates a new copy, without the errors.

P.S. It's a hidden file. In Explorer, click View, Folder Options, View tab. The Hidden box to check is about 2/3 the way down the list.
