Put a little time in educating yourself. Ignorance is the accepting myths as facts.
Well said Sam, but sadly you refuse to take the excellent advice you give others.
By faith, you choose the to accept the myths, fables and hearsay opinions of men far removed from the life of Jesus over the eyewitness accounts of the men and women who personally saw and heard the miracles, life, Crucifixion, and Resurrection of Jesus and recorded them in the New Testament. Many of these men solidly established the integrity of their position by sacrificing their lives rather than renounce their eyewitness testimony.
Your irrationality and lack of discernment would disqualify you from juror duty in most courts, but you continue to seek an audience with honest and reasonable men.
Look carefully at what you present as your evidence. There is not one credible historical document, only conjecture and opionion by men far removed from the first century. When men tickle your ears and give their opinons about the historical events about Jesus's life, you immediately accept these opinions as if they were valid historical documents.
Like I said before, you are a spiritual and intellectual cripple trying to convince others of the great advantages of amputating the two legs of their souls---intellectual and spiritual discernemt--becasue you find it pleasurable to have blind faith. That is prescisely what your beliefs are, blind faith based by fables and myths invented in mens minds.
You base your faith on myths and fables, Christians on real historical events.
Let me give you two quotes from some of these eyewitnesses:
2Pet.1 13: Yea, I think it meet, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting you in remembrance;
14: Knowing that shortly I must put off this my tabernacle, even as our Lord Jesus Christ hath shewed me.
15: Moreover I will endeavour that ye may be able after my decease to have these things always in remembrance.
16: For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.
17: For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
18: And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount.
19: We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
Second eyewitness quote:
Chapter: 1John.1
1: That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;
2: (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)
3: That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
4: And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.
5: This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
6: If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
7: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
8: If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
Remember, these simple fishermen would rather die than renounce their simple eyewitness accounts.
Think about. -----------------------------------------------
This is from the mouths of men and women who new Jesus personally. They lived 2000 years ago with Jesus.
Compare that to the men who are give you your myths and fables. Your sources are mostly living in the ninteenth and twentiety century a give their opinions and conjecture because they have no valid historical documents to counter the factual eyewitness accounts in the New Testament.
Your faith is based on irrationality and a lack of reasoning. |
