" The head of the NRA when he was on Capitol Report Monday or last Friday.....he said assault weapons aren't as deadly as people think."

The "assault weapons" that where banned a few years back are not fully automatic weapons. They are semi-auto weapons. You pull the trigger one bullet fires. They are defined by cosmetic differences with other weapons not functional differences, and they aren't as dangerous as most people think. Most people, apparently including many of the members of congress who voted to ban them, think they are fully automatic weapons.

They aren't as good of sniper weapons as a common hunting rifle, they are not as powerful for close in assault as a regular shotgun, and aren't as concealable as any handgun.

When you say "the NRA wants to put the AK-47 back on the street", many people would take that as "the NRA wants to have nearly unrestricted access to fully automatic AK-47s". Either you where unaware that the assault weapons ban dealt with semi-auto weapons only, or your post is apparently intentionally misleading.

What is the radical agenda of the NAACP?

Affirmative action is a big part of it. They have moved from being an organization that wants people treated equally as people, to one that wants people treated based on "the color of their skin", rather then "the content of their character".

Other then that they have almost just become a support organization for the democratic party. This is perhaps not radical, the democratic party is a big part of the American political landscape, but it does make the NAACP more of a partisan political organization then a human rights organization.

Which one of the above has you thinking the NAACP is a group of nasty left wing radicals and how is their agenda worse than wanting assault weapons legal?

Supporting the 2nd amendment and getting rid of silly laws that ban some specific guns based on cosmetic differences is a good thing. Enforced affirmative action is an abusive even racist policy.

As for the other things you listed - "The right to vote? The right to interracial marriage? The right to live in white neighborhoods?"

They are rights that where recognized a long time ago and they are not under serious challenge. Maintaining such rights is a pretty passive agenda and if that was all the NAACP did I would support it.
