MSFT surpassed GE in market capitalization quite a while a ago and by a large margin--$468 B vs $365 B. biz.yahoo.com biz.yahoo.com Ibexx PS: If MSFT accepts the invitation to join NYSE, its symbol will be M (you wanna bet?). If it joins DOW without switching board, the symbol will remain unchanged.
