A question for Richard Palm????
When did I ever say anything about a conflict of interest in Brinker's picks other than UTEK?--One question please give me one straight answer.
As to your claim about Brinker only responding to a post concerning his "Brinker effect" on UTEK. On another site you asked me this.
"You talk about Brinker's participation in discussions of the "Brinker effect" on small cap stocks. My recollection is that he didn't mention this until others brought it to his attention"
Well let's just look at what those guys said and judge if Brinker was just acknowledging Justa's comment or trying to use it to manipulate the price of the stock. Tell me Oldguy is this a shy reticent poster barely taking credit for the "brinker effect" or somebody calling it awesome and trying to hype the flailing stock with that info???

...I have concluded that UTEK has a Brinker effect associated with it. For all those posters who do not know what I am talking about, Bob Brinker is a well respected and national financial radio show talk host and newsletter writer who has this issue as his only stock buy at this time. He rarely recommends stocks and made this recommendation in his newsletter about a year ago. What difference does this make to you? His listenership is quite loyal. Take my word for it. I believe they have slowly become a large part of the shareholder base for this company. And they simply will not sell absent such advice from Brinker. Moreover, Brinker is going to hold on to this company for the long term as he is not one to trade in and out of stocks in his newsletter. The shorts made the bet that the price of this stock would drop like a rock to book value in this downcycle with individual investors heading for the exit like with other small cap semi-equipment stocks. What they have failed to calculate is the Brinker effect and now they are going to pay for that miscalculation IMO over the next few months in the light of improving UTEK fundamentals. siliconinvestor.com To:Justa Werkenstiff who wrote (2613) From: mister topes

Your analysis of this extraordinary effect is absolutely brilliant. Unfortunately for the shorts, they were unaware of the awesome support provided by this dramatic effect, and now they are faced with the sad realization that UTEK has already reported the worst news for this cycle, but the stock has holding in the 20 range like a rock. Of course, this is a massive problem for the shortsellers because they are now short close to 3 million UTEK shares in the face of improving fundamentals beginning in the second half with the potential of bigtime growth starting in 1999. Also, they must cope with actual net daily trading volume of less than 100,000 shares, and the realization that probably millions of UTEK shares have been putaway for a rainy day. God help the shorts when this stock starts moving, they will be destroyed on the way up and will lose their collective short shirts. siliconinvestor.com |
