<I hope this helps.>

It does, Pat. It establishes that NO ONE knows if there are any net $$$ paid to Amati from MOT. We haven't HEARD about cross-licensing or other soft-dollar arrangements in lieu of dollars, but we ALSO haven't heard of dollars. According to the press release that Jim provided, MOT and AMTX codeveloped the chip. Certainly MOT received SOMETHING for their effort and expertise?

Regarding using JS's comments - first, his comments were for "licensing" in general. Nothing specifically about MOT. So we don't know. Secondly, it seems that these were hopeful guesses ("most likely cover R&D") and not formal statements of licensing revenue.

So we are left EXACTLY where I assessed - that for ANYONE to state definitively that there are dollars to Amati from CG, is either unfounded speculation or insider information.

Agreed, Pat and Jim?

Parsimoniously yours,

Steve
