Hans:It does give them over 5 times more candidates per waver compared to FAB30 X2's You:But consumers don't buy CPUs based on die area. AMD's Thoroughbred was a painful example of how cheaper dies will not stop the red ink if demand isn't there. Wow, you manage to turn it into something negative! Without sufficient production capability AMD was neither very useful to be used as a bargaining chip nor to be at the base of a substantial part of a large OEM's portfolio. Anyway, I enjoy discussing the technical side of things, economics fine, essential, but "politics", no thanks. Regards, Hans
