OT-There's a natural product called Steviaside or Stevia which is available in most health food stores that has been used for centuries in South America, Japan and elsewhere.
It's very sweet, approximately 200 times more than sugar, is a natural bacteriacide which combats dental caries and improves digestion. No adverse side effects.
FDA has been at war with this threat to Monsanto and only recently gave it limited approval. They made American businesses burn recipe books recommending Stevia, in violation of the Bill of Rights. It's a natural food like potatoes and bananas, but FDA is Monsanto's Washington DC Branch Office with an unlimited appetite for power freely exercised over natural foods but blind to chemicals.
Also: Saccharin was given bad press and a warning label 15 years ago to make a place in the market for APN. You couldn't use enough in your lifetime to cause cancer. It's been in use for a century.
