Those of you who like high yield bond funds for income during retirement might want to take a look at two Calamos products right now. CHY and CHI both are yielding over 10% on current Price/Share.

I own both of them (more CHY than CHI) and have since late in 2003. Steady monthly income has been very nice to have.

It's been rare that either has traded at a discount to NAV, but CHY was there briefly today. The price/share on many of the corporate bond funds has been dramatically reduced in the last few weeks. I don't see a valid reason for it and so have been accumulating shares as the price/share has been dropping. That's lowered my average cost/share and raised my average dividend yield.

Best regards, Tom
