Hello Folks;
I'm an SI "newbie" with a happy story to tell. Ballard has treated me well! This is a true story!

The Ballard web site is worth the visit! < ballard.com >

Early April/97: I tripped over an article that grabbed me and caused me to call for more info; got the Ballard 1995 Annual Report.

Early May/97: Too good to be true! e-mailed for '96 Annual Report. Got it! AND they have a web site --- > WOW!.......

Nawwww - if it looks too good to be true, it usually is!

May 19/97: Dammnn! Must be something to this; time to take another look.

Reasoning (& questions):
1. They have patents nailed down 6 ways from Sunday!

2. By 2010 Ballard ***could*** be powering 80% of all new North American cars.

3. Contracts for testing in Busses. 2 in Chicago, 3 in Vancouver. By 2010 these things could be powering nearly all new busses and trucks.

4. A shipyard in Europe is powering a submarine with Ballard.

5. Stationary version for hospitals, office buildings, subdivisions.

6. Could these things replace coal, oil, and nuclear electric generators?

7. Could these things replace hydro power, (no more dams, high tension power lines).

8. Will the savings in line maintenance costs and savings in line losses pay for the conversion?

Decision: - Don't bet the house, wife & kids, but I have just GOT to have at least a piece of this action!

May 20/97: Made the call! Bought some at $37.80

May 24/97: Globe & Mail article says Daimler-Benz pays about $35 for their piece of the Ballard action. I feel pretty good.

Mar 17/98: Ballard hits intraday high of $188 on the TSE! I feel even better!

2010: Should I have at least bet the house? Nawwwww. I think I'll feel pretty good the way it is.
