Richard,

I think Intel employs somewhere around 40 to 45 thousand people. As i see it, they deserve every penny in compensation and bonuses that they get.

Is anyone else familiar with a bill working its way through congress which would allow U.S. corporations to get a tax break on R&D expenses? Seems to me as this would have a positive effect on Intels earnings if it were to pass. I am hearing that it has a very good chance of passing and being signed by the President. Then again, we are talking about politics, so who knows. In 1995, Intel spent somewhere around $1.3 Billion on R&D. Gotta love it. I think in some countries the government pays for R&D at hi-technology companies. I remember hearing one time that ISSM has all of their R&D expenses paid for by the Israeli government, but i could be wrong.
