I haven't paid much attention to where I live. Chesapeake and SWN came into Fayetteville shale and got the natural gas rolling. It's dry wells? no crude, just gas from fracking. Chesapeake pulled out, selling everything to SWN a few years ago I think. Just last week discovered SWN is gone and Flywheel Energy has everything here. valorem-energy.com Wasn't too long ago the roads here were full of red and blue Michelin men and equipment. (Haliburton and Schlumberger?)
