Allen, re: Sorry for the miscommunication. I didn't mean to suggest they would need to. I2O is an open standard, so just about anybody is free to code their own emulation library of routines. In particular, WIND could decide to do it themselves, but I doubt if they would be interested. On the other hand, it is a natural for BIOS companies.

That's what I was looking for concerning BIOS companies and I2O.

I have another question. Is this statement right? WIND could profit from I2O and intels 960i chip by offering development tools for I20, which an open standard for I/O control. If I have it wrong please correct me.
