I installed EndItAll on my old computer to help with the lockedbyadiskutility problem. I'm back, on this computer, to, for defragging, just closing down the few items on the toolbar. (BTW, it defragged in under five minutes this morning.)

I'm wondering whether, when you defrag, or install new programs, that's sufficient (like when they tell you to shut down all windows programs before installing), or should i install EndItAll again, do you think?

When I was getting help from Iomega with the external zip drive, the first guy told me to shut down all programs using control alt del before installing, the second said don't bother to shut down anything except Norton anti virus. I guess there are schools of thought about this....
