Dell is keeping their options open. I don't think the Linux thing is a big deal. I think it strenghtens MSFT's position at the negotiating table and in the court room.
Widespread acceptance of Linux, especially by corporate America, is just a dream, IMHO. By the time they have perfected it, Windows2000 will control too much of the market for companies to consider a switch. NT 4.0 already has widespread acceptance.
