BP - Acquisitions by CSCO and NT do provide a reference point for valuation of other networks in this market. No argument about that.

As to << What happens when the whole, crazy, mania over tech stocks, and in particular optical stocks, ends? >>, I don't see that in the near future; within 2-3 years. Reason is that there is no bounds for this market; I mean that investors see higher and higher demand for internet infrastructure. If one day demand stabilized, no one would pay such high multiple for networkers.

I didn't have experience in 70's. In the past a few year since DOW broke 7000 mark, experienced Pro have been telling young investors that market is crazy. I could not judge which of the followings is right.
1. Those who don't accept high valuation of NASDAQ are out-dated. They will be gone anyway.
2. Extremely high valuation of NASDAQ is short-lived.

Back to the topic of holding MRVC, I am a loyal shareholder since May 1999. I lost 6 digits in paper value in the past weeks. I am bullish on MRVC at the moment, partially because of reference to other highly valued optical networkers, until NASDAQ tells me that I was wrong... That should not happen.

Have a good Sunday.
