Your post makes a lot of sense in a world where information flows immediately to all. However we live in a world of imperfect information and fraud, and those hoped for profits and moats can disappear through either product recalls, competition or deceitful/incompetent management ( questionable convertible offerings) -not too mention external factors such as the price of oil on retail and restaurant sales. my experience to date, although anecdotal, indicates that the technical sell decisions have had a much better record than the fundamental sell decisions for me anyway.
