No they did not give Bush a free pass. They didn't even give him a completely free pass on Iraq, and they certainly questioned and attacked him on other issues."
Tim, I have very little patience with ignorance.

Then you must not like yourself very much. There was no free pass. I read stuff criticizing the idea of going to war, and a lot more that at least questioned it and I, while I do make an effort to select news sources from all over the political spectrum, probably focus more on conservative or libertarian news and commentary sources then most people.

Bush got a free pass for the Iraq war. Its a fact.......deal with it. In the past few months, paper after paper has admitted as much and apologized for their behavior. To argue wise, only makes you look foolish.

In any case Iraq is not the only issue that has faced the country over the last several years. Bush has gotten criticism on any number of other issues, from stem cells, to high government spending, to people bashing his speech patterns. He has not had anything that resembles a free pass.

Only in the last year has he been criticized for anything.....prior to that he was a 'war' president........above criticism. Our 'free' press was anything but free.
