I can't think of a single example to refute my theory. Our general foreign policy in Latin America has been to keep a tiny group of rich people in power. That's a bad way to run a country. Esteemed liberals such as Woodrow Wilson, FDR, and JFK have been prime perpetuators of this policy.

Personally, I think it is our policy that is cynical.


I think you are mostly right but still, I do not automatically assume the worst about anyone or any country including my own. This country has done some good things, even great things in its history.

We just aren't as good as all the hype and spin we put out!
