David, FredE, everyone else what's your take on the NEC announcement. I felt overall that the announcement was pretty weak. PB owns NEC, so what's the point?? It seemed very redundant... Did I miss something, or isn't this basically repeating the earlier PB win?? It bothers me when Cube makes announcements like this. I know more bigger better announcements are on the way, but when I see this, It makes me wonder... Yes, I do want them to hype everything to get the share price up, but this seemed like a stretch. Also on a more technical side. (decode only) For MPEG-1 you currently have 2 major players, and a bunch on niche players. MPEG-1 is less complicated then MPEG-2 MPEG-2 would appear to have everyone and their brother able to produce a solution. WHY OH WHY is there so much competition for this more complicated product, when no one gave a rat's about MPEG-1???? What I'm I missing in the above logic??? Thanks..
