RSIS Wins High-Profile Air Force IT Contract in Alabama

MCLEAN, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 16, 1999--RS Information Systems, Inc. (RSIS) was recently awarded a new Information Technology (IT) contract with the Department of the Air Force.

The contract, which spans the next five years, has a $49M ceiling with Headquarters Standard Systems Group (SSG) at Maxwell Air Force Base, Gunter Annex, Montgomery, Alabama.

SSG's mission is to acquire, develop, integrate, implement, and sustain combat support information systems for the Air Force and other DoD components. RSIS' Information Technology (IT) support is currently being provided to Gunter Annex's Air Force Contracting Information Systems, Logistics Systems, Comptroller Systems, and Base Support Systems.

This level of support will expand significantly under the new contract.

"We are a proven Air Force IT contractor which supports SSG, as well as the Pacific Air Forces, Electronic Systems Command, Air Mobility Command, and Office of Special Investigations," said Rodney P. Hunt, President and CEO of RSIS.

"RSIS serves all branches of the United States Armed Forces, with support being provided from Hawaii to Massachusetts, and from Alabama to California. This strategic contract win solidifies our presence as a premier provider of IT support services as SSG," he added.

The full range of IT services RSIS will provide under this new contract to HQ SSG will include support of Currently Implemented Systems, New Development Efforts, Technical Project Implementation, Field Assistance, System Administration, Computer Operations, and Network Database Administration.

RSIS' teaming partners are EDS, a professional services firm with revenues in excess of $15B, and Ingenium Corporation, a privately held corporation headquartered in Upper Marlboro, MD.

Both RSIS and EDS play an active role in the Montgomery community as members of the Montgomery Chamber of Commerce and the local Association for Communications, Electronics, Intelligence and Information Systems Professionals (AFCEA). Both also are active in the city's IT steering committee, and participate in other community programs.

RSIS is an 8(a) certified corporation with headquarters in McLean, VA. Founded in 1992, the company provides advanced technical and business solutions to government and commercial clients. RSIS was cited by Deloitte & Touche as the second fastest-growing company in Virginia, was ranked in the top 15 by Washington Technology for three consecutive years as an emerging growth company, and was cited by Inc. magazine as the 41st fastest-growing company in the country.
