The media is full of proof. His injuries were superficial, of the nature of injuries that soldiers in Vietnam received daily without going for a Purple Heart. I appreciate his service. But it is hardly the kind of service that categorizes the guy as a "war hero". He was obviously like most of those in Vietnam -- wanting out ASAP.

I'm not sure what you're referring to about "served six months" ... the guy served two tours -- one for six months on a ship well out of harm's way, and four months on the swift boat in a war zone. This, too, is public knowledge.
