So, years ago I was talking to Courtney about mining companies on the Vancouver exchange. Now Courtney grew up in Vancouver, was briefly married as a teenager (for reasons you might guess)and his father in law was a stock promoter.

One day Courtney took a helicopter ride with his father in law to a rural, mining sight to meet with some investors. "Dad" was showing the investors around the sight, the equipment, where they were digging, etc. Then when the investors flew off their own copter , "dad" said "Ok, boys. Pack it all up".

The entire thing was a sort of Potemkin village to fool investors thinking there was a real mining co.
