Steve,

I have been following your conversation with Emile with interest. I looked up Jeremiah 31 and would like your opinion upon something. Verses 1-14 talk about a returning but verse 15 -16 is talking about something which the new Testament proved has been fulfilled. The religion of Judaism says that Rachael was weeping for the lost sons of Israel who have been banished from the land and cannot be comforted until they return, however the New Testament makes it plain that it was for the children that Herod slew in the attempt of murdering Jesus. Matt. 2:18. This portion has been fulfilled but if it wasn't written in the New Testament would you have known where to divide the line between what has been fulfilled and what hasn't? Can you take the other passages and prove they have not been fulfilled just because they are not as clearly revealed?

Chris
