Sweet Lemonade

"Shall I compare thee to a summer's day..."
Shakespeare

Let me compare my lover to a fruit,
a savory one, harvested ripe and sweet,
a perfect peach I own in absolute,
and even choose the better time to eat.
But when he becomes a fruit that brings
me frowns, such as a lemon hard to squeeze,
I change him with my magic touch of spring
so he can be a grape to gulp at ease.
If peach or lemon, I can handle well
both fruits, and from one, take my hungry bites,
or with more kisses have my mucastel,
my treat, my luscious drink whose sip excites.
This way my lover is my salad salad made
of peaches with a bit of lemonade.
