I believe they paid 500 million which if true works out to 435 million
for the fax software whcih has since been almost(not quite) obsoleced
by the advent of the net. I think any way you slice it the purchase
of Delrina has to be considered a disaster. THe revenue on these
products probably started tanking about a day before the deal was done.

correction - they issued approx 15,000,000 shares. SYMC was I believe
in about the low to mid 20's at the time.
