Just found a VERY interesting article on the PCN Network. Under Pathfinder (Time Warner Pathfinder), there is an article from Money Magazine by Lloyd Chrein discussing the very hot Fiber Cable business right now due to shortages. Evidently, as hot as the fiber business is now, they state that the business is no sure thing for investors because of the potential spoiler called Wireless Communications. The article discusses the growth in the fiber optics business and also the cost advantage of using wireless. In the article, it states that Paine Webber's Piecyk is bearish on the fiber business and notes that Paine Webber has placed a neutral or hold on Lucent as a result of the unknown impact that wireless will have. Another interesting comment about future use of fiber cable was the possibility of using it to connect wireless stations. They also note how East Germany got up and running on wireless because of their lack of an entrenched base of copper wire.

Hang in there everyone, I think the future will be bright for CAWS. How does that old saying go, "Buy on bad news!" and "Sell on good news!". Well, we had plenty of bad news lately and I wouldn't be surprised if CAWS is postering for a big turn back up. Think about it, doesn't it seem like everyone is either talking about wireless or actually implementing it except CAWS, Bell Atlantic, and Nynex. The writing is on the wall guys. We just don't have the exact date and time yet when the good news is going to happen for CAWS.

Sorry I couldn't post the article. I don't think you can copy out of the PCN Network...at least I couldn't see how. Let me know what you guys think of the article.
