ild, my friend was just telling me that... the one that said his 5 stocks (csco, msft, intel, ibm, orcl) were going to split and come to par 4 or 5 times (starting in 6 or 7/2000) in 20 years and be worth more than us gdp! the rational? they just did that, it could happen again... his last words re: csco were, i bought it at $16, we'll NEVER see $16 again. -lol- anyway, he's out of a job and made 50% on his home in 2 years or so... so he's selling and pocketing the cash (not necessarily a bad idea) and waiting for a dip to buy back in. he'll live in a prior rental he can now pay off. small place, but 100% paid for. i love the way the economy will change based on what's in his best self interest! -lol- in this case, though, he might be right.
