>>Regarding the Dataplay disks, I think they certainly will be more in demand than the Sony Minidisk, which doesn't hold nearly as much information....<<

Dataplay is much smaller for factor than even Minidisc. And Sony Minidisc distribution discs cannot be made as easily as Dataplay because Dataplay is optical tech just like CD's and DVD's and Sony Minidisc is MO (magneto optical) MO discs must be written-to ..much more time consuming and costly than simply stamping Dataplay albums out.

>>...an additional problem with a Dataplay disk when it comes to getting rid of unwanted photo images. You can't, unless you transfer the images first to another medium like a hard disk and then record only the images you want to save on another Dataplay disk.<<

We'll see how this pans out- remember that write-once CD-R discs greatly outsell re-writable CD-RW discs...re-writability may not be as big a deal as some people would have you believe. The key is cost if blank 500MB Dataplay discs can sell retail for $5 I think that Dataplay will be a force to reckon with...the latest blank Dataplay disc retail price estimate is $12.50.
