Funny, the EXACT opposite happened to me yesterday: the WSTL modem was replaced with an Alcatel modem by the Pac Bell technician who said exactly the opposite: that Pac Bell was having operational and compatibility problems with WSTL modems. Guees that ties in with my last post: this sheet ain't ready for prime time.... Ie WSTL white box modem was replaced with Alacatel black box.
