IF the U.S. Congress had any moral backbone they would call for Congressional Hearing regards investigating what most here already knew, that Lewis under threats from Paulson, knowingly broke the law as if he didn't Paulson said the entire Management of BAC would be removed, out in street with no job.
By what Paulson was demanding, Lewis was under legal law to resign and warn the company stockholders they are about to be robbed bigtime "for the benefit of the country".
But i ranted here before, that since those so easy to make NERVOUS Americans signed away their rights with the Patriot Act and Homeland Security, it has given the regulators the "rights" to do ANYTHING in the name of "National Security", and the public as NO rights in the matter, either to protest or to know anything of what is happening.
We have enough evidence for Congress to Call for hearings and put Lewis/Bernanke/Thane/Paulson/Geithner under oath and to be GRILLED.
This is EASILY A DOABLE and should be done, if Congress is even wanting to maintain a pretense of Democracy.
But Congress will ONLY do this IF their constituents show their rage--and thus Congress sees a political profit in such hearings.
The idea they would pursue these hearings on their inner sense of right and wrong is, of course, LAUGHABLE.
But Cuomo delivered the dynamite, but i suspect the powers will go into, "Let's soak the dynamite in water", and let this matter blow over before the public even begins to comprehend what REALLY happened.
