That is a completely separate issue. It could be addressed without resorting to a Federal ID. Nor does adopting a Federal ID do anything to force our government to begin addressing it. They aren't using the tools we've given them now.

...we can identify illegal residents, abusing and mooching
off our system.

I am tired of supporting through higher taxes all these abusers.
