No Heavens. No Hells! All the books and all the talk is just inventing stories. Instead of the running of the bulls, people are just running their heads! And we are wasting our precious time on this earth by treating religious stories as though they needed to be disproved when they are really so asinine.

But here is the problem. The people with the stories claim that their stories give them invisible authority to make rules and regulations to govern the world and social interaction-NOT based on the seen and the arguable--BUT on the unseen...and quite beyond sense or reason to investigate. So, as much as I would love to NEVER look at Genesis or any of that crap again, nor speak of those infantile world views to a soul...we are unfortunately forced to protect the path of humanity. We are morally required to promote reasoned intercourse and regulations based on human rights and freedoms as mediated through reason--and NOT as invented and imposed by charlatans claiming invisible authority and unimpeachable right.

I had thought (and still believe) that science (and particularly Evolutionary Science) will break the backs of those Nimrods whose only argument is FORCE (you see, the various religions have no common probatory grounds to mediate their claims, so can ONLY prevail by "persuasion". And as 'invisible' and 'imagined' are not susceptible to reason--"persuasion" here can only be generated through FORCE). Eventually, if freethinkers do not prevail--if we allow humanity to slip back into subservience to Magical Commanders in Chief--then we will have given over our lives to the whims and caprices of those (im)morally capable of sidestepping reason and human rights and freedoms to further their egoistic goals for Power and Privilege.

Humanity has existed under that (the above) paradigm for centuries, where King and Priest collaborated to enjoy the bounty of this life, while all those millions of humans gifted by accident with wonderful life...were just run through the mills and ground down to nothing.

And switching that privilege to alien commanders in chief is just more of the same foreclosure of human responsibility for GROWING UP and for CHOOSING VALUES. We have a life. It is in front of us. It is not in Genesis. And it is not in Atlantis or Charles Fort or Sirius.
