It could also mean gold is there but Strathcona report raises more
questions than it answers i.e. Assays come up good but evidence of
hanky-panky by geologists on site. Possibly Strathcona reports a
dud hole beside a good Bre-X hole or worse: A good hole next to a
Freeport hole - this would send Freeport back to the drawing board
as far as evaluating the deposit.

If Strathcona finds any inconsistencies then the Bre-X data would
need to be re-confirmed by new drilling - even though the gold
is there. I believe Strathcona will issue a very scientific report
that will be interpreted differently by different people and that will
lead to more DD required before development of the mine.

You raised an excellent point - TSE would already have met with
BXM to discuss timing of the report release, good or bad. Release
would be immediate on bad news to prevent insider trading and trading on rumour.
