Regarding SAFM, I like the fundamentals, low PE (trailing), they seem to operate a very efficient facility and they are investing $80 million in a new facility for the future. I am looking for an entry point under $30 but I focus on the OBV and technicals looking for a lower low on lower volume. It may be days or weeks before the technicals meet my target.

If you focus on grain futures, you may be too short sighted as the futures are rising and this is a company you really do not want to trade on corn or soybean spot market prices (other than trying to buy when feed is at historical lows...like we see now). It's going to be how well the management continues to operate in every environment and from what I can tell, this group is pretty good.

I plan to add some shares soon to my taxable account with the expectations that even eventually this company will be a No. 2 or No. 1 producer. They seem to be making the long term investments to continue their growth in this industry. I also like the pure play with chickens rather than a mix of pork and beef.

Based on book value, cash flow and other "value" measures it looks like a compelling buy at these prices.
