I'll probably not get the title then. Was just reading your post by R Emmett Tyrrell (thanks BTW)...and thinking how keen his observations are....at least IMO.
But one thing for sure.
I honestly, deep down, believe that if the American people don't start to really understand what we are all up against, we won't have a country in another 100 years or less.
The dirty, rotten, "gotcha" type of politics are really part of the problem.....the leaders in DC, Dems and Repubs, are only human. They are no better, nor any worse, than most of us.
How can a President, who has to spend some of his time overseeing all the various functions and departments of the Government, plus visit heads of States and attendant travels to and from, have various meetings, plus do the PR pics with all sorts of folks....
ever have just a few minutes to read, and think....
Plus deal with skunks like Leahy, Schumer, Pelosi, Reid, Durbin, and all the rest....
Maybe GWB needs a Jack Bauer around ....and Rove "ain't" the type. |
